When you validate your site, it generally tells you what lines the error appears at. You'll need some kind of text editor that counts lines for you so you can find it. Alternatively, if you just copy the lines it shows you (it'll tell you the beginning part of the line where the error is) and search for that, it'll take you right to it.

Hi. I just read your post on a dropping sidebar. I have this issue and it's driving me crazy. I'm very new at this and really have no idea when it comes to code. Which brings me to my question. When I validate my site, it shows me 2 errors. How can I find those errors in my site to change them (to see if that will help my sidebar issue)?
I don't know if you will even check this as I notice this post is more than two years old, but just in case...any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
