First Wordpress Theme
Well, I finally got around to creating my first Wordpress theme. It’s meant for Wordpress 2.0, and it’s a 2-column fixed-width layout. It’s “widgets” ready - but it’s set up do you don’t *have* to use widgets - you can go without if you like.

Download the Theme here. This has been
I’ve only been using Wordpress for about 2 months now, and it’s been a trip to play with. I felt it was too much fun to ignore and wanted to try out creating something for public release. So, it’s called “Orange Crush” - there’s a *very* tiny options page in there (I’m still learning to use the “functions.php” file - so the options page doesn’t contain as much good stuff as I’d like it to yet) that simply notifies you of updates to the theme (if you so desire to have notifications) and it’ll change the theme color from Orange to Blue. Other than that, it’s pretty basic. I’m hoping I didn’t forget or overlook anything major!
Anyway, if you *do* download and use it, I’d appreciate feedback. I’m already working on a new theme, and I’d love to be able to improve my skills on developing these things. Constructive criticism is always welcome - and it helps everything all around. So, if you find weirdness, glitches, or just generally have ideas for improvement - please feel free to email me or leave a comment on this post so I can get crackin’ on my theme creating abilities!
